I might spend every dime I had to hunt down whoever did that to me and end their lives with much pain and suffering. I strongly feel doing this is on par with pre-meditated "attempted" murder.

I think it's ridiculous that the police can be so easily sucked in by a 15 year old kid.
I would blame the mindless police department for that one.
When they send a SWAT team and start shooting people without any investigation not even a phone call the police should be held criminally responsible.

While that may be true in some situations, causing that to happen is my point.
If you call and make that happen, and they kill my dog or whatever. I'm going to be mad with the police, but I'm coming after you

You have to have a strong response to a call like that because if you treat it with kid gloves and it turns out to be a true call then the public
will chastise you for not doing something. They were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Did he say this when police were surrounded his home to arrest him ?

He pretended to be the Player he was beat by so that the police would barge into his home and attack him. To blame the police for this in anyway is asinine and very Liberal thinking. The kid caused it and is 100% responsible for is actions not the police.

The kid called and gave the persons name and address that he was mad at for killing him online and told the police
“I just shot and killed four people. If any police enter my home I will kill them too”

That made the SWAT team do a tactical raid on the house which caused the ensuing shots to the persons father.

So the police dispatch a swat team and do a no knock entry on the basis of information received over the phone without even tracing the callers location/identity.And make no attempt to verify the information first.
Then not even call the house with a hostage Negotiator.
So yes the police are partly responsible.

It's hard to separate truth from fiction nowadays, especially with the 'net, and ever more so just because of human nature--humans do some crazy things, and we have our confirmation biases.

I figured it was a hoax, just for the fact that I couldn't believe that a SWAT team would be dispatched without the 911 operator noticing that the call wasn't originating from the location (unless the kid was a good hacker dude, I guess). The thing is, I wanted to believe the story because SWAT has done stupid stuff like this before, more than people realize.

No offense, E and others in law enforcement, but could you tell your gung-ho brethren with all the tactical toys and military equipment to go join the Army if they want to kick ass and take names?

No offense taken, I did join the Army before I got into Law Enforcement.  

But Law enforcement has taken a turn over the years, I refer to this but I do not live by it.




There is no easy answer but I am glad I only have 7 months to retirement.

Yep, no good answers, E. I just wish people would stop being so suspicious and scared of others, to see each other as fellow humans and citizens. Not that there isn't danger out in the world, but things seem overblown sometimes. Unfortunately (and fortunately), a lot of attitudes and viewpoints are simply neurologically hardwired into us--it's what's helped us to survive and and become the dominant species, but usually at the expense of others (human and otherwise).

Enjoy the soon to be retirement. BTW, were you in for long? I only did a three year stint at Fort Drum back in the early/mid '90s. Got my college money, felt I did my duty to family and country, got the hell out before I took a bullet, lol.

Cell phones don't show a exact location like a land line phone.  One can be pinged to find its location if it is stationary.

I was in for 5 years, 1987-1992, Germany (87-89) and at Fort Jackson (89-92)
