Windows 7 64-bit compatibility

I am trying to get my voice to work on battlefield 2.
I loaded battlefield 2 an updated to patch 1.5 on Windows 7 64-bit operating system and I am unable to get voice response operating. One thing I noticed is that there is no boost box to check in the voice set up window. Anyone have any ideas? Everything else seems to work just fine except VOIP. I think TFC is a great website and I would like to join but one of the requirements is that the voice has to be operating. Anyone know of a procedure for loading and configuring battlefield 2 on a Windows 7 64-bit system?

A lot of people play on our server without voice. It's not a requirement for just playing. You can always communicate by typing in the chat.

I am using Win 7 64 without problems.
I think this could be a problem related to how windows is detecting your microphone.
Sometimes windows needs to be correctly configured to know what device is your recording device.

Is your mic detected in /control panel/sound/recording
You should be able the see the mic meter in that tab.
Does it move?
