As posted from the Poor Game performance the only way to fix this is to build a new system. Since the game still eats up a good deal of CPU during game play.

I have other parts in the shopping cart just need another commission check to pay for it. The greatest thing about this system is I can avoid picking up a video card until after the system is put together. This way I can drop a whole paycheck on it or just use it how it is.

Hopefully by September honestly I am currently on unemployment & each check I get I buy 1 part or so far. I might cheap up and only get a AM3 Dual core for $65

My major issues with the current box is that there is no upgrading cause its all ready maxed out on the AGP video card & 2 gb of Ram. Not a bad machine but not for gaming, anymore at least. I'll let my daughter use it till she starts to complain.

The video card that I am going to get for is $70 bucks

both these parts are replaceable in the future all I need is a machine that will run BF2 / BF2142 on max settings. Maybe get 2gb of ram in 1 stick that would cost me $99, again all I would need is 3 more to max the memory on the board out. Get a cheap hard drive & dvd burner and I am set. I'll just pull the power 600 watt Ultra Power supply out of my older machine. At least this will get me into more modern parts, and I'll just save these parts when I upgrade and then build a second machine at a later time

Looks great!

The only questions I have are why not just do a powered external usb hub for $10.00 instead of the internal/external setup?

The video card you picked seems to have some cooling issues. This
video card is exactly the same has better cooling solution and costs $3.00 less.
I have run Sapphire cards for years with great success.

Love to see the final build and maybe the benchmarks. Looks cool as hell to me. I haven't built an AMD in a while and wondering how it all turns out.
