| Getting an error when attempting to launch Revive BF2 Launcher from Battlelog.co Here's the script message:
StackTrace: at System.Windows.Forms.Control.MarshaledInvoke(Control caller, Delegate method, Object[] args, Boolean synchronous) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method, Object[] args) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method) at BF2Launcher.Launcher.UpdateStatus(String message, Boolean newLine) at BF2Launcher.Launcher.DoHOSTSCheck() at BF2Launcher.Launcher..ctor(Uri BF2Uri) at BF2Launcher.Program.Main(String[] args)
Not sure what to do. Anyone getting this message?

| Yeah, I initially got an A112 error because I had it in \program files\EA Games\Battlefield 2 which was the wrong location, so I change it to \program files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2 and now I have a fatal error with script message on original post.

| I downloaded the bf2Hub client and now im loosing connection every 5-10 minutes. Im also one of those people who have to go to task manager - right click bf2.exe - unclick cpu 0 This is a pretty shitty situation because im somewhat computer-handicapped Anybody else having this issue? | |

| Sniper u have it in right place now in that same folder just right click on launcher and send shortcut to desk top and it fixed mine only issue I'm having now is it won't let my ventrilo work when it's launched gotta figure out what is causing that. I can get in ventrillo but when I push talk button after I use the launcher it don't work ..Grandpa I haven't played yet but they say there going to be putting out patches to fix all these issues and to report them on there site it gives a link on there to report all problems hopefully in a couple of days all this will be running better after they work out the glitches I fired mine up but didn't actually play

A couple of issues I've encountered: You must use the "Custom" install option with the new launcher to be sure it lands in your "Battlefield 2" directory. Perhaps this is only an issue with x64 windoze, but seems like the bulletproof way to go for now. For now, the new launcher defaults to using the old GameSpy master server (this is unintentional I'm sure), but has an option to select which master server to use, which ought to allow clients to select a master server at will (I haven't tested this yet). I try this and I am getting the same script error. I also try this on a second computer with same OS and same results. This problem has been reported by others in Battlelog.co forum. Waiting for an answer. I'm using Win 7 Pro 64 bit

| I found these recommendations on the weekend warriors forums from Viper
"If you have a 64 bit version of windows installed, be sure to change the installation path to include "Program Files (x86)". Try running it as Administrator and temporarily disable any antivirus program."

You're da Man Blanco! My Kaspersky Internet Security is preventing Revive BF2 Launcher from working. I localize the problem to Application Control Settings and disable it. Problem solve. Now I need to figure out how to allow Revive BF Launcher to work without disabling the application controls in Kaspersky. Damn, more homework to do.

| If you right click installer and run that as admin, it shouldn't fail like that. | |

rapidfx, I did this and it did not help. I have to disable Application Control Setting in Kaspersky to make it work. Update...this Revive BF launcher is worthless to me. I disable my application controls, click to launch, it tells me there's an update 1.0.1, click update and two folders pop up and that's it. First folder is BF2 folder where the game is install, and second folder is Revive BF2 Update and it's EMPTY. No file. Now I have no access to revive launcher window where you can launch game. Not sure if you all getting the same problem with this new update.

The download will only work after you have signed in with Battlelog.co. Have you register?

| Yep and when I log in I see my browser circle spins for about 3 seconds and nothing happens. Name and password are gone but it isn't telling me it was wrong. | |

| The latest news from BF2R. We are working on getting the launcher to a standard we all can enjoy. That goes without saying.
What we would like the community to do is hunker with us in this adventure. Gamespy is not dead yet so in the mean time enjoy your Standard bf2. Remove all the revive software from your computer and clean up your bf2.
Our goal with this project was initially to keep bf2 running. Well its evolved to much more then that now. It has turned into a reboot community for the old game bf2. We will strive to make the alternative as if gamespy is going to shut down any minute. And if gamespy never does indeed shut down, Then we hope that efforts we make in making bf2 worthy of playing keep you guys coming to Revive As a better battlefield experience.
We are so very grateful for you all being so kind and understanding in all the issues and flaws we have been subjecting your with.
We plan to expand heavily with out dev team to make this a enjoyable place and as well add features That the game totally needs.
We thank you so very much for giving us this opportunity to serve our community of respectful mature Battlefield Fans.
