When I was locked out they told me their was nothing they could do as all servers running were private now. They gave me BF4 to make up for it free which is ok if I get a new computer but for now the only way is a private server set up to run it from what they said..

That's I I was waiting for to Blanco if it was true EA would release a public announcement letting everyone know especially if they were going to do it in just a month I don't think it's real just people trying to stir the pot and get everyone riled up until I see it from EA I don't believe any of it

I am telling you right now that I spoke with EA and they said they do not run any of these servers anymore and all are private. There is some truth to it. Call them yourself and they will tell you they do not have anything to do with them and anything running is private servers. They do not support BF2 anymore and could not help me in anyway when my password was not working. Cut

They did shut it down and all servers they said are private. I am not sure what is so hard for folks to believe me after I spoke directly to them. Call them yourself as they have a number for support.

The bottom line to this discussion is will the BF2 servers stop being able to be played on?

Just like today is the last day the Microsoft will support Windows XP but you can still use
your PC but there will no longer be any patches put out to fix any issues with it.

The other link is not an official site and they are talking about BF2 for xbox not PC

Gamespy is the shell/browser,that coordinates in essence,all the bf2 servers. What this means after they shut down is.....you'll have to manually input the IP's etc,to play on "x" server etc. (assuming no favs saved etc)

Well that Blows ... guess I will start ranking up my BF4 character then.. hope TFC will start a clan on BF4 server what are everyone's plans I know some said they won't make the switch but hope they change there minds we have a great clan would love to see everyone make the move and keep our group going I really can't believe there going to close out the best game ever Evil or Very Mad
