A great author has passed

Just a small word for Tom Clancy who died this week. He was the great military author who was partly responsible for the birth of military gaming with classics like the Ghost Recon series and Rainbow 6. I started gaming on Ghost recon, and for it's time was a fantastic game. It was awesome to lay under a tree as a sniper and have the leaves moving in the breeze or rainstorms in Russia. It was a leap at the time and got me hooked before I found Battlefield.

I agree he wrote several great books and was the reason for some pretty awesome games.
