| It was time to spoil myself so I had a PC built just so I could play BF3 on highest settings.................hated BF3.......I do not understand why the developers screwed it up so badly.....or are we(me) a minority? does it appear that BF4 is more similar to BF2 or BF3 ? | |

I hated it too, so if you are not alone... I agree, I thought BF3 would be a new improved version of BF2, and I also feel they just screwed it up to the limit; Unhappilly, now I have my suspicions on BF4... I would like to believe it would be more like BF2 ,but it seems more likely it will be based on BF3... Luckilly some good old time renegades still love BF2 and populate the server... I'm proud to be amongst them...

I bought a new gaming computer as well because the computer I had was a few years old and I always like to be able to play with high settings on a game when I like it, I was able to play with the settings on high but the game play was FAR from what I was looking for. I HOPE they do a better job this time around. E

| I also upgraded my computer for BF3. My old one would have run it at close to minimum settings but was only running XP. To be honest, I only played a while on single player and have yet to try multiplayer but with my understanding of how the game has changed, I am indifferent to taking the time to learn the new game when I am still enjoying BF2. Unfortunately BF2 was now CTD every 15 min. I even took out the expensive video card and put my 4 year old one back in. Nothing I did seemed to make much difference. Interestingly enough, that changed a couple of weeks back now it doesn't crash any more - I don't know what did it, I assume an upgrade to something - windows? PB? Nvidia? No idea, just happy it works. | |

| Lucky you, Kilroy! I made the mistake of "upgrading" to Windows 8, and BF2 hasn't worked since. I've done every "fix" shown online at least twice, and still nothing. I play BF3 on the Playstation 3, not the PC. For me to play it on PC, I need a better video card. I just can't justify spending money I don't have, for a game I don't have, that is obsolete. | |

| I clicked on the link and the link is bad.
I do not have BF3 nor do I plan on buying it. I do not think my PC will even play it. I need a new gaming PC badly!

| I only like BF2 and play on a laptop with medium settings. I have thought about getting a new computer but it would only be to play BF2 on higher settings. I can't afford a $600 game. I have heard team play on the newer versions is not as good as BF2. Plus, to me, all the newer graphics, explosions, falling buildings, etc. would detract from the amazing simplicity of the squad level play and strategy of Wake Island. When we tried some other maps, some of the games seemed like you were just running from one flag to another without much strategy. Get flag, lose a flag, get a flag back, lose a flag.... Wake is different. Some teams that are unorganized and don't work together lose handily. Teams with good squad leaders and a good commander are near impossible to beat. When both teams have both, the games are tremendously challenging. I love BF2 and will be one of the last to switch to another game and only if I have to. Also, being part of =TFC= makes it that much better! | |
