Windows 8 is not compatible with Punkbuster. I "upgraded" my gaming computer to Windows 8, and have been unable to play ever since.

Maybe you should try to have a pc built by a local shop . that way you can pick out what components you want to use

And that processor seems a little underpowered

I agree with Valdez. I think for 1000.00 you can get more if you build it yourself. I'm sure you could even do better than that setup if a local shop built it for you-just go in with a good idea of what you want in it and they won't try to jerk you around. New systems are really exciting! Congrats!

Thanks guys. I didn't order it after he stated that WIN 8 will not let BF2 playable. That sucks. It's an old game, I don't see why not. Oh well.

Research Windows 8 workarounds. Blancov tried to help me with them, but none of them worked for me. Of course, I'm a dumb-ass when it comes to computer problems.

I'm a systems analyst, I build hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment yearly. If you really want some help building/ordering a $1k system for gaming, I can do that.

I suggest building your own. It's fairly simple, and when finished, very satisfying!

I just finished building one-very satisfying indeed. I know a good deal about computer hardware, and while putting this system together and getting it dialed in I learned exponentially more than I thought I would need.

The thing is guys, I don't have the money to build. They come already made. They all have WIN 8 and they come out my check. I got this laptop from them and it plays bf2 just fine. But it's WIN 7
