PostSubject: Unreasonable Ban   Fri Dec 21, 2012 2:56 pm

Hello community. I was banned today (December 21st) due to "excessive teamkilling"

The real reason I was banned was because an admin assumed I was hogging an air asset (the attack heli)

I was defending the airfield with the chopper and I was immediately kicked. I rejoined and questioned why I had been removed, and 10 seconds later I get banned permanently.

If this is how you guys run a server, then don't even bother unbanning me; I'll just play elsewhere.

Thank you.

I wasn't there but nobody in this clan would kick you for hogging a helicopter, but we do kick for wasting air assets. example (flying around and not engaging the enemy).
You were banned for being abusive to an admin. You wrote stupid abusive fucking admins.

I now question that. Apparently there wasn't proof of me wasting the air asset, he just saw me flying around the airfield and assumed. From a client's perspective, admins like that should have their privileges revoked.

Correction you assume there is no proof you were wasting air assets, you assume what the admin saw.
I'm sure we have the battle recording of the round we can always check.

I wasn't there but we do have a rule that says you must pick up a gunner if requested.
So IF someone had made requests to be your gunner and you ignored them, that could have
added to the reason you got kicked.

Like DangerousDoug said, I am sure the battle recorder log will be viewed and a determination will
be forthcoming.

Then please check the recorder before making such assumptions.

And yes I know that rule. Nobody wanted in the gunner seat. Even tried landing on the helipad next to a teammate and calling for a "get in".

You were kicked for wasting air assets.
If an admin did a mistake and kicked you, then that only means admins do mistakes.
You intentionally tked a player yesterday and you said that was a mistake and no admin kicked you or banned you or called you "stupid fucking player".

You did not connect and asked why you were kicked.
You connected again to the server and called admins "stupid abusive fucking admins".
Not very smart.
You assumed you were permanently banned and maybe that ban was intended for 24 hrs only.

Players with your attitude should be revoked.

Yes, we run this server with not perfect admins.
As per your request, ban stays.
Your welcome.
Good luck finding a server with perfect admins.

Maybe you deserved to be called abusive. You should have at least asked me if I was wasting an air asset rather than kicking me right off the bat. I rejoined and was angry that I was kicked for no reason. Yes no admin is perfect, and neither is any player, which is why I snapped.

I apologize for getting upset yesterday but that doesn't excuse why I was kicked when I wasn't breaking any rule.

I'm not going to baby and beg you to unban me. If you guys enjoy perma-banning for unjust reasons then that isn't my problem. Perhaps that explains why you guys always have only 14 players in your server.

Learn to support your fans/clients, not just ban them because you can...

Happy holidays.

Edit: And by the way, I guess you didn't check the log correctly. I did in fact ask why I was kicked when I reconnected.

Human maybe.

All squad was asking for your help in voice, you should say at least you were defending airfield.

Its not an excuse, its a mistake.

Remember you were kicked first and banned later for insulting admins.
Ban was not intended to be permanent until you requested it, if you changed your mind just say it.

14 - 6 bots = 8 great players with a great attitiude to play with

Happy holidays to you too.

That video alone of the intentional team kill is PLENTY enough reason for a minimum 24 hour ban.

Or at least a kick and he wasn't
But he is only interested in calling abusive an admin for a wrong kick.

Alright I'll be straight up. I should not have intentionally team killed.

I understand the kick was a mistake and not intentional to be abusive. However, I was defending the airfield and I was communicating with my team. Maybe they couldn't hear my mic, but I was calling out enemies and doing my best to spot them out. I haven't played BF2 in about 7 months so my flying was a little rusty. At the time I was kicked, if my memory serves well, I was trying to take out an infantry at the Airfield's AA, who kept on locking onto me.

My squad was communicating and calling out enemy positions and I was doing my best to defend.

So I do apologize for the insults. I was frustrated at the time. I did deserve a 24-hour ban for the team kill, which I have now officially served. I would be honored to be able to play with your community again, that is if we can forget about this whole little mishap.

Thank you.

My opinion,relating to this topic/thread........

First off,I'm a player of BF2. I'm not part of this clan/community,and seldom play at TFC,or other BF2 servers (not into it like I once was)

TFC has been around along time, and is 1 of I'll say,10-15 semi populated/populated BF2 servers still out there.
They state their rules, which are visible to all, within the game itself.

TFC IMO,has been fair and impartial to all, including myself.
Example...... I believe it was a year or so ago,I was in their server playing, and needed help setting up my VOIP and/or a video card related issue.
Dangerous Doug(if I recall)took the time out of his game playing,to assist me via VOIP. I believe most if not all of their members, are there to help/assist others,if need be.

I've yet to see on their server,an abusive/power hungry admin. (now that's not to say that DD can on rare occasions, be a tad harsh,IMO,on these boards)
I feel they are fair and just, and love or hate what they state, you have to "respect" what they state,as it's not wishy washy etc.

Lastly,it's a testament in itself, that TFC has thrived for these many years, and still remains 1 of the most popular servers for BF2.
Their formula,seems to be working!

P.S. ... Am I allowed to drop flares from the air,on the last flag? Grin

Amazing how a little nice attitude can help get things accomplished instead of demanding . Trying yelling at the police when you have been pulled over and see if you get a ticket or a warning?
lol!

Big balls... I have never seen a flare cause a death so launching flares on last flag would
Not be a violation of the "last flag rule". No different than hovering over the last flag, distraction
So ground troops can move in.

Yeah I do realize that I had made a mistake as well. Heavy Hitter admitted to his mistake as I mine. The TK also lead me to realize that I did in fact deserve the 24-hour ban.

Thank you TFC for the fair review and uplift. I hope the community continues to develop and grow.

See you guys in-game!

brute, I wasn't going to say anything here, and it might be off topic by now, but I too started off wrong within this family. They really aren't ... WE (I can say this now, lol) aren't at all unfair or abusive with the privliges given to us as Admins. We simply don't like disruptiveness and especially team killing or blowing up your own stuff. We try to WIN!! We usually have awesome matchups on some nights, so feel free to pop ya head up so we can have a new headshot target! Well, I aim for the hip. I want you to crawl and bleed it out Twisted Evil

But seriously man, just relax and be cool and everything will fall into place for you. Blanco is the HEAD of this family so when he impliments something (mistake or not) we as a family are going to support that decision. But you both did right by agreeing to disagree or ... apologize. I hope to see you in the server soon.

O & just a lil tip .. the reason our server is unpopulated sometimes is ... well, it could be a few things ... they are AFRAID ... want to break the rules but can't ... can't handle rules ... are not ready for a mature crowd ... oh and we have a MOM!!

santa Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! rendeer
